Mary C. DeLai

Mary has over 16 years of experience in school district administration and leadership including 14 years as Assistant Superintendent and School Business Official and over two years as Superintendent of Schools. Prior to her work in education, Mary spent many years working in the public sector at the local, county, state, and federal level. Prior to that, she worked as an economics and policy consultant to the energy, environmental, and government sectors. Mary has a Bachelor's degree in economics and sociology from Saint Michael's College and a Masters in Resource Economics and Policy from Duke University. She is also a certified positive psychology coach, yoga instructor, and meditation teacher. She is passionate about her work helping districts build leadership capacity, identify and pursue meaningful goals and objectives, and align resources to best support student and organizational success. She lives in Newburyport, Massachusetts with her wife, Debra, and their Portuguese Water Dog, Cider.
